With only a few days left until her long-awaited comeback, former “K-Pop Star 6” contestant Shannon’s MV for “Love Don’t Hurt” has been deemed unfit for broadcast, which has inevitably slightly altered her comeback plan.
On June 26, it was announced that the MV was deemed unsuitable for broadcast and referenced a scene that portrayed someone being tattooed as well as other revealing scenes as the primary reasons for the evaluation. The teaser images and teaser video for Shannon’s comeback revealed the artist’s bold visual concept, and it was understood that the artist gave an even more intense performance in her full MV.
Shannon’s agency, MBK Entertainment, responded to the results of the evaluation and stated that they had no plans to request a re-evaluation for the MV. The agency will release the MV as it is, as they would rather convey the MV’s narrative and meaning in its most complete form.
Shannon’s album will be released on various music sites as originally planned on June 27 at 6 p.m. KST; however, the MV for her title track “Love Don’t Hurt” will only be available on MBK Entertainment’s official YouTube channel and various social media accounts.
